Quality Control & Product Grading Policy

Purpose

At Tech Trade Group, we are committed to supplying quality products that meet customer expectations and minimise returns, disputes, and warranty claims. This Quality Control and Product Grading Policy outlines the inspection, testing, and grading procedures applied to products prior to sale and dispatch.

Quality Control Process

All products undergo inspection and testing before being listed for sale and again prior to dispatch where applicable.

Our quality control procedures may include:

  • Visual inspection for physical damage or defects.
  • Functional testing of key hardware components.
  • Verification of device specifications and configuration.
  • Testing of display functionality, ports, connectivity, and charging capabilities where applicable.
  • Confirmation that products match the advertised condition and description.
  • Final inspection prior to packaging and shipment.

Products that do not meet our quality standards are repaired, downgraded, clearly disclosed, or removed from inventory.

Product Grading Standards

To provide transparency regarding cosmetic condition, products may be assigned a grade prior to sale.

Grade A – Excellent Condition

  • Minimal to no visible signs of use.
  • No significant scratches, dents, or marks.
  • Fully functional and tested.
  • Suitable for customers seeking near-new cosmetic condition.

Grade B – Very Good Condition

  • Minor cosmetic wear consistent with normal use.
  • Light scratches or small marks may be present.
  • No cracks, chips, or major cosmetic damage.
  • Fully functional and tested.

Grade C – Good Condition

  • Noticeable signs of previous use.
  • Moderate scratches, scuffs, or cosmetic imperfections.
  • May have visible wear on casing, screen, or exterior surfaces.
  • Fully functional and tested.

Grade D – Fair Condition

  • Significant cosmetic wear.
  • Heavy scratches, dents, or other visible imperfections.
  • Fully functional unless otherwise disclosed.
  • Suitable for customers prioritising functionality over appearance.

Any cosmetic or functional issues outside of the applicable grading standard will be specifically disclosed in the product description prior to purchase.

Battery Standards

For products containing internal batteries:

  • Battery health is tested prior to sale where supported by the manufacturer.
  • Devices are guaranteed to have a minimum battery health of 75% at the time of sale.
  • Devices falling below this threshold are either refurbished, disclosed, or removed from sale.

Packaging & Dispatch Verification

Prior to shipment, products undergo a final verification process to confirm:

  • Correct product selection.
  • Inclusion of required accessories where applicable.
  • Secure packaging suitable for transport.
  • Accurate customer and shipping details.

Tracking information is generated and provided to customers once the order has been dispatched.

Continuous Improvement

We regularly review customer feedback, warranty claims, returns, and dispute data to improve our quality control procedures and product standards. Where recurring issues are identified, corrective actions are implemented to minimise future occurrences and improve customer satisfaction.
